More playing with my Gazelle!

I love the cut of this card. I created it with my new Gazelle cutter. The only thing is I should not have cut it out of DP but wanted the two sides. It will not open and close too many times before it rips I am sure. But it is really cute. I will cut the next one from card stock though. I used that adorable little summer fairy again from the new singles that were release this month at Storage Units Ink and More. She is so sweet.

Here is what the card looks like from the inside.

Isn't that a fun cut? I love it.

Stamps: Summer Fairy from the Fairy Tales Collection part of the new S-U-Inkies single images
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Summer Sun, Whisper White, Good Morning Sunshine DP
Ink: Basic Black, Kiwi Kiss
Other: Brads, Gazelle, Nestabilities, gel pens, Copics, glitter gel pen

Thanks for stopping by today on this beautiful day! If you are from the US I hope you are enjoying your holiday weekend and that you take a minute to remember all of those who are away from their families fighting for us.

Being Sick is no Fun! Playing Catch-up.

It has been a full week now and I am still not "normal". Mind you I am never "normal" by most standards but I mean "normal" by my standards, lol. It took everything I have to make these two cards yesterday. After I get really sick as I have been if I try to get up and do too much the first day feeling better (which of course I did) I end up with some of the worst arthritis flare ups! They are almost worse then getting sick, from shoulder to finger tip and hip to toe both sides. So you would have laughed to watch me try to make these cards yesterday. I was dropping things, couldn't hold the markers --anyway I should have videoed it it was quite comical. But the good news is that the good Lord is always on my side and all three of the challenge that I missed are the same theme! How easy that is making it for catching up!

Kerry's Three Clovers Challenge #20 was Red White and Blue

The Blogger's Challenge for Today is Wave the Flag -- Red White and Blue

And the Latenight Stamper's Challenge for the week is Red White and Blue and 100% current Stampin Up!

And finally my sketch challenge #76 from Monday--bout time. The first card is for that.

Stamps: Voila, Boho Backgrounds, Teeny Tine Wishes
Paper: Brilliant Blue, Real Red, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black
Other: markers, ribbon, sizzix oval die

Stamps: The More the Merrier, Razzle Dazzle, Dreams du Jour
Paper: Brilliant Blue, Real Red, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black
Other: markers, white gel pen.

These should both be fast and easy cards--of course they took me all day with this silly arthritis!

Have a great weekend.

Birthday Blog Hop! Lots of prizes and fun, come hop along.

SUinkBirthdayBanner

Happy Birthday SUINK! today is one year...and to celebrate, YOU are getting all the goodies...OH boy, do we have goodies to give away...all month long...I am talking some HUGE prizes...some prizes worth over $500!! But let's start with our Birthday Sneak Peek blog hop and go from there.

One Day Only
All links should be live at 9:00 am EST! and you need to be entered before
midnight tonight!

It is finally here the Birthday Sneak Peek Blog Hop!

If you came from Loretta http://lovetocreate.blogspot.com/ you are on the right track! If you didn't you may want to hop over to Kristen http://www.scrap-creations1.blogspot.com/ and start at the beginning. One lucky winner will get all 3 SINGLES, a pack of Coredinations card stock, an ink pad and refill, a pack of buttons, and a container of ribbon In order to be eligible you need to leave a comment on all the DT blogs and then a final comment on the SUINK blog telling us what your favorite project or stamp was.

So again all you have to do to be eligible to win is to hop along with us and leave a comment on each designer's blog along the way. You will hop through 8 designer's blogs that will be showcasing the new sets and then finish off at the SUINK blog to leave your final comment telling us which stamp set is your favorite. That's it! And the all those goodies can be yours.

OK, Please keep in mind that I have been terribly sick and did these last minute with a bit of sick mojo, lol. The good news is that the new stamps are so cute it don't much matter! These new stamps will be sold as single images! How cool is that, so you can get the whole set or just a few of the images. Brilliant, huh? Denise will be adding to the sets each month!

My first card is using the Thanks a Bot stamp from the Doodle bots collection. I used my new Gazelle to cut the card from Coredinations card stock. It just reminded me of robots. I added some gromments. I also added some ink and sanding to make the metal look older and maybe rusted.

Here is the inside of the card.

The next card is using the Summer Fun Stamp from the Fairy Tales Collection. Darling little fairies. I just love faries. I am using Coredinations card stock and My Little Shoebox DP so sweet!

I know I did not give as many details as usual but I am still feeling lousy--and you have some hoppin to do. So be on your way to the next stop on the hop which is the very talented
Laura at http://www.lu-lascorner.blogspot.com/.

Don't forget about leaving comments so you can win.

Sketch 75 players better late than never!

Lots of player's last week. See what a prize or two will do. Be sure to hop over to their blogs to read more about the samples. The links are listed above each card. If you do not see your card here it is because there was not a direct link and I could not find it in a few minutes. I usually take more time to find them but with me being sick and so far behind I couldn't this time.

Thanks to all who played along.

Finally-- Blog Cany Winner.

OK, so I am able to sit up and even walk without being dizzy! The fever has broke and things seem to be on the way out! I hope. This whole swine flu thing makes being sick a bit scary! I still have not done anything with my sketch challenge and I do not know when I will to be honest. But I do have the big Birthday Bash Sneak Peek Blog hope tomorrow so I had to get that posted and thought I should at least post a winner to the Blog Candy and then show all the awesome samples from last weeks sketch challenge.

Don't forget to hop along with us tomorrow for your chance to win more SUINK products. Got to love giveaways!

So the lucky winner from last week's Blog Candy and the new owner of two super fun stamp sets from SUINK is.....

Your card is so cute!! Well, I played along with the wrong sketch, oops! I had the older, similar one in my head. So, don't know if you'll count it for the blog candy, oh well! But wanted to let you know I played! :-D

Libby your card was perfect, the two sketches were so much alike it does not matter. Thanks for playing and congratulations. I am not sure if you won by playing, commenting or sharing but I know that my son picked your name from the pile. I added everyone name for each thing and then he pick--since you did all three you had three chances. e-mail me your address so I can get these stamps to you.

YIKES--am I ever sick!

I am going to post my sketch but the rest will have to wait. I can barley hold my head up. I have been in bed for two days, boy sure hope this goes away soon. HORRIBLE.

Here is the sketch. I have not compiled last weeks and pulled a winner yet but I will hopefully later today.
